Advantages and disadvantages of the inverted fork
Inverted shock absorbers have two core advantages, the first is to reduce the unsprung mass, that is, the mass below the spring in the suspension system. Objects with more mass have more inertia and are less responsive to external forces
Therefore, in the inverted front fork, the inner tube is designed to the bottom of the overall front fork, the diameter is smaller, the mass is lighter, the mass below the spring is lighter, the feedback on the road is more sensitive, and the tire can better maintain the ground state
In addition, under the same conditions, the overall rigidity of the reverse fork will be better, the positive fork is used as the main force point, and the reverse fork is used as the force point with a larger diameter sleeve, and the strong external sleeve is connected to the frame, so that the transverse force of the entire shock absorber is better and the anti-distortion ability is stronger
